Walking on Eggshells

Photographic novel, 10 printed copies;

Walking on Eggshells is an extensive rumination on a protagonist confessing a criminal offence during an acting experiment. Mixing fiction and reality, the story begins with an unusual encounter of two strangers - an ex sex worker and a medium and a stranger casted at random who claims to have seen the pope levitate and who unexpectedly confesses committing a criminal offence. This registration of an eerie encounter drags the reader into a story of desire, compulsion, revulsion and rituals.

The encounters have been registered on mini DV cassettes which later have been turned into a flip - book format mixing prose writing and a graphic novel format. The nature of the criminal offence is so triggering that I chose to tell this story using a more “cold” medium of text and image, as opposed to the “hot” and emotionally impactful moving image.
